Rehab News:Brits holiday drinking becomes real headache for locals

Binge-drinking Brits, who work hard during the year so they can play hard abroad in the summer, are causing a number of problems for local residents and authorities.

According to research from Abbey, Brits are among some of the hardest working people in Europe, with one in four men and one in 11 women working at least 45 hours a week, and 9.5 million working on their day off without financial reward.

However they make up for it in the spare time that they do have, spending £10,801 each year on holidays, eating out, socialising and other leisure activities.

And, according to the Foreign Office, holidaymakers fuelled up on alcohol are pushing the limits to get the most of their precious leisure time, often with disastrous consequences.
