Rehab News:Addaction to provide alcohol treatment in Cambridgeshire

Alcohol treatment in Cambridgeshire is to be provided by the alcohol and drug treatment charity Addaction.

The charity was given the contract by Cambridgeshire County Council and the Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust will provide all adult based drug and alcohol treatment services in the county for the next three years.

Godon Jeyes, chairman of the Cambridgeshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT), told the Town Crier: "I am delighted that we have secured the services of Addaction. They are a highly respected organisation and I believe they will bring a sea-change to services in Cambridgeshire.

"I believe Addaction can introduce new approaches which will provide high quality services across Cambridgeshire which reflect the needs of the local communities."

Addaction will begin providing services from April 1st at a cost of around £3.5 million a year.
