What is a Cocaine Rehab Program?
A cocaine rehab program refers to treatment that will help a cocaine dependent individual overcome their addiction. This may take the form of inpatient, outpatient or community-based rehab.
An inpatient cocaine rehab program will be very intensive. Individuals will be living in an environment conducive to their recovery, surrounded by peers and addiction specialists. People will have round the clock support and daily access to cocaine rehab therapy.
Most residential clinics will begin with a medicated detox, if necessary. Cocaine withdrawal is considered primarily psychological; therefore no formal detox method exists. However, the initial period of cessation can be extremely uncomfortable. Medication will be provided during this time, where required, to make the process much more bearable.
Afterwards, the cocaine rehab program will focus more intensively on the psychological dependence. This will usually involve daily participation in group therapy, weekly one-to-one counselling sessions, lectures and workshops that educate people about the nature of their addiction, and reflection activities, amongst others. More holistic therapies also typically form part of the cocaine rehab program, enabling individuals to experience therapies such as reflexology and acupuncture.
An outpatient cocaine rehab program will allow an individual to benefit from the programme offered at an addiction centre. However, people will be returning home each evening, possibly to an environment that may make access to drugs easier and may contain more triggers for relapse. Therefore, an inpatient residential cocaine rehab program should always be your first choice if it is an option.
Similarly, community-based cocaine rehab therapy will also not remove an individual from a potentially problematic environment. It is also less intensive and will typically involve the attendance of local drug services and fellowship meetings, such as Cocaine Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
What are the warning signs that indicate someone needs Cocaine Rehab Therapy?
There are a number of warning signs that may indicate that someone needs to access cocaine rehab therapy. For instance, there may be noticeable changes in their behaviour as it becomes orientated towards cocaine. They may become irritable, anxious and withdrawn. Physically, they may begin to lose weight without reasonable explanation. They may also begin to struggle financially and socially as the dependence progresses.

Types of Cocaine Rehab Programs
Triage Healthcare work with rehabilitation centres throughout the UK; centres that are able to provide excellent cocaine rehab therapy. We also work with such centres overseas. This option can be particularly appealing to those individuals who have already accessed cocaine rehab therapy in the UK with limited success. By travelling overseas to access treatment, the person is completely removed from their problematic surroundings. Overseas treatment can also represent better value for money in some cases.
Cocaine rehab therapy via the NHS is most frequently accessed via community-based treatments. Whilst it would clearly be preferable to receive residential cocaine rehab therapy for free, it is important to remember that there is an imbalance between the availability of addiction treatment in the NHS and the demand in the community. Therefore, whilst it may be available on the NHS, there are often extensive waiting lists involved. In this case, community-based cocaine rehab therapy will be much better than accessing no help at all.
How long could therapy for cocaine addiction at a rehab center take?
Therapy for cocaine addiction should ideally last a minimum of six weeks at a residential treatment centre. This will allow adequate time to address both the physical and psychological dependence.
How much does a private Cocaine Rehab Program cost?
The cost of residential treatment for cocaine dependence will depend on the treatment centre you want to go to. Cost will vary depending on its location, standard of accommodation and the level of nursing and psychiatric provision available. All treatment centres that Triage Healthcare works with, regardless of cost, will offer excellent psychological and therapeutic programmes. This is not something that will be compromised when accessing treatment at the best value centres.
