Types of Treatment Programmes bayberry clinic offers

Treatment at the Bayberry Clinic will involve a medicated detox to begin with as required. An assessment takes place in order to ascertain the individual’s physical, psychiatric, psychological, spiritual, social and family needs. This means that a care plan can be formulated which takes the individual’s circumstances into consideration.

The treatment programme that follows will consist of process/interpersonal group therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, psycho-education, 12 step facilitation and attendance of meetings, professional issues group and relapse prevention planning. Treatment can also incorporate couples counselling and a comprehensive family programme. Other therapies include art therapy, complementary health practices, spiritual and cultural support, gender groups, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, individual psychotherapy, mindfulness and meditation and fitness and yoga. Those individuals who complete the recommended eight week programme will also be encouraged to participate in a therapy called mirror image. This involves individuals helping those with addictions in a centre close to Bayberry through the initial stages of their recovery. The Bayberry Clinic also offers its clients aftercare at the clinic following their discharge, which is often utilised by those living close to the facility.

The length of treatment at the Bayberry clinic will depend upon an individual’s circumstances.  Ideally a minimum of four to six weeks should be spent in the treatment centre, although individuals can access 12 week programmes or longer.
