The Haynes Clinic is a private residential centre specialising in the treatment of addictive illnesses. It aims to treat both the physical and psychological addiction through offering inpatient detox and full therapeutic treatment programmes. Treatment is offered to those who suffer from dependence to a range of substances including alcohol, heroin, cocaine, cannabis and prescription medication. The Haynes clinic also offers treatment for gambling and co-dependency issues.

The Haynes clinic is situated in the countryside. Whilst staying at the clinic clients have their own room with a double bed, and en suite facilities are available for an additional charge if preferred. The clinic has 13 rooms in total. The accommodation provided is located between two houses each providing lounges and other communal areas, along with an outdoor patio area.

The clinic staff team is made up of counsellors and support workers, and an on call consultant GP and psychiatrist. Clients are supervised throughout their residential stay.

Where required, an initial fully medicated detox will be provided. The Haynes clinic also offer acupuncture delivered by qualified staff to help with relaxation and to ease cravings following withdrawal.

Once free from substances, the psychological treatment programme will aim to provide clients with the skills and tools needed to live a life free from substances.

Group based therapy and one to one counselling is offered to each client, to give both the opportunity to speak to and gain support from fellow clients. This also provides a confidential environment to speak about individual issues underlying the addiction.

The clinic also provides individuals with the opportunity to explore triggers to relapse, and to gain a greater understanding of their addiction through educational workshops, reflection groups, step work and assignments. Support from the counsellors and feedback from staff and fellow clients allows reflection and development throughout the recovery process.

There is also time given for clients to relax and unwind following the structured and busy daily programme. The clinic organise a range of activities outside of the psychological programme, and weekly trips to the local health club offers clients the opportunity to swim and make use of the Jacuzzi and gym facilities it provides.

Treatment at the Haynes clinic will vary depending on the severity of the addiction and substance being taken. A medicated detox will usually take between 7-14 days and the duration of psychological treatment programmes can vary between 4 and 12 weeks.
